Fabio Cudicini, the father of former goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini, suggests that AS Roma should sign Petr Cech.

The Chelsea goalkeeper has been the number two for the majority of this season due to the emergence of Thibaut Courtois.

Recently, he admitted to Czech media that he doesn’t want to spend another season as the understudy at Stamford Bridge and may leave in the summer.

He has been linked with the Blues’ London rival Arsenal, but his former teammate’s dad believes Roma will be the correct choice.

Fabio Cudicini said: “Recently it has only been used in flashes because (Jose) Mourinho has preferred Courtois, who in my opinion is the best in the world now.”

He also added: “Cech is a goalkeeper for dependability, a certainty that Roma need.”

Fabio’s son, Carlo, played with Cech at Chelsea and also represented Roma too.
