Dani Alves has wished to have a go in the Premier League before hanging up his boots.
The Brazilian international who is recuperating from a knee injury suffered last season is yet to make an appearance this term for Paris Saint Germain.
The 35 year old was on the verge of a reunion with his mentor Pep Guardiola at Manchester City but went on to join the French club later.The veteran fullback has given a dimension to the fullback’s role with his marauding runs down the flanks and pinpoint crosses. He had a decorated career at Barcelona and won a host of trophies during his stay at the Catalan club.
Chelsea came very close to signing him but the deal failed to take place in time. Now with Alves in the twilight of his career he wants to have the last shot in the best league of the world.
“The idea that I might finish my career without going to the Premier League, it is not possible.
“For sure, this is the most amazing football in the world. First, because of the respect for the players from the fans, and then because of the passion on the pitch.
“If I can play, that would be perfect, but I will make it there one way or the other.”
