Alves is in the last year of his arrangement at Barcelona and has not been offered crisp terms at the Camp Nou.
The player’s operator said this week that they would consider all choices before settling on a choice in December or January.
Anyhow FIFA operator Francois Gallardo guarantees that an arrangement has as of now been concurred that will see Alves move to Old Trafford.
Speaking to Spanish television show Neox, Gallardo said: “The player will leave Barcelona next season. He has signed a preliminary agreement with Manchester United.”
The news is sure to come as a blow to both Chelsea and Liverpool who both had hopes of signing the Brazilian on a free transfer.
Earlier this week, Alves’ agent Dinorah Santana said: “If the club [Barcelona] wanted to renew Alves they would have done it already. I would not do things they way they have.
“We will leave the suitors until December or January… then we’ll decide who to marry.”
