The Guardian reports that a £14.6m bid for the Liverpool centre back has already been rejected, with a higher bid expected to come through shortly.
Agger has been linked heavily with Barcelona for a long time now, with the centre of defence being a spot that must be filled by new boss Gerardo Martino.
The agent of Daniel Agger has recently said that the player is interested in the move, despite Liverpool denying it.
“We are aware that Barcelona have made an offer for Daniel that Liverpool have rejected,”
“Daniel has a contract with Liverpool for the next three years and it would be up to the clubs to agree a fee for his transfer in order for that to change.”
