Danny Rose and Alex McCarthy have pulled out from England’s squad due to injury. England take on Croatia and Spain during the international break and Rose and McCarthy will be absent from the squad.

Both Rose and McCarthy came in to England’s camp carrying injuries but the duo have returned to their respective clubs now. After Luke Shaw’s withdrawal, Rose was a favorite to start as left-back but after his pulling out, it seems that Ben Chilwell will start against Croatia and Spain.

Alex McCarthy was never a first-choice keeper with Jordan Pickford’s presence. So, his absence won’t make any difference to England’s starting lineup. McCarthy is yet to make his first appearance for England.

Danny Welbeck is also not in the best of fitness after sustaining an injury during Arsenal’s win over Fulham. Welbeck is doubtful to play against Croatia but he will surely be fit enough to feature against Spain.

England play two Nations League matches during the international break. They first take on Croatia at Rijeka tomorrow. The Three Lions then travel to Seville to play their return leg against Spain.
