Darren Moore has said that he is unsure about Dwight Gayle’s future at West Brom.

The striker, who arrived from Newcastle United on loan in summer, scored his 13th goal of the season in the last match against Rotherham.

West Brom manager Darren Moore has said that he is unsure about Dwight Gayle’s future at the club after the player notched up his thirteenth goal of the season against Rotherham. The Newcastle United man, who arrived on loan at the start of the season, with Salomon Rondon going the other way, has been in superb form and showed his class in the last match with a hat-trick.

Speaking after the match, Moore hailed Gayle’s goalscoring prowess and said that goalscoring is “the hardest thing to do.” When asked about the striker’s future, the former West Brom defensive ace said, “He is a potent striker as his goals illustrated today. We’re pleased to have him at the football club. His energy and enthusiasm for the game helps. He’s an affectionate character. We’re delighted to have him here. He scores goals but he does tremendous work for the team, too.”

He also added, “As for his future, we’ve not even spoken anything about that. We’ve got him here. It’s a swap deal with Rondon going the other way. All we’re doing is focusing on the football. We’re at the half-way stage now and the next game is on Boxing Day. That’s our focus.”

West Brom are set to take on Wigan Athletic in their next match in the Championship.
