David Beckham is targeting Real Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo to become his first signing for his newly found franchise Miami.

The former England captain is set to offer the Portuguese international a lucrative mega money deal in order to bring Ronaldo to the MLS.

However, the deal would not happen until 2017, when Beckham’s side will be an official Major League Soccer side.

Ronaldo may feel that a move to the States  in three years time will be an appropriate move to end a superb career at the top of the game.

The winger is now aged 29, and will be 32 by the time the proposed move comes about, and the former Manchester United man may feel he has achieved all he possibly can at the Bernabeu by that date, and then may consider a mage money move to the Sunshine state.

Reports in Tabloid Newspaper, The Sun, suggest that Beckham is doing all he can to bring Ronaldo to the States.

Becks understands the need for a big, big name in the team when it gets going.

‘And none come bigger than Ronaldo — the world’s greatest player.

‘Ronaldo loves America and all that it offers.

‘It’s not a secret he has thought about finishing his career here, about living here — so a deal like this could be perfect for him.

‘It is a long way off yet — we’re talking 2017 — but it clearly demonstrates the ambition of the Beckham franchise.’

A possible move to the MLS could make Ronaldo argubly the biggest name since Beckham to move to America, ever since the England international moved to the L.A Galaxy in 2007.
