Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has dropped a huge hint regarding his future by stating he loves life in England.

The Spaniard has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid over the Summer after putting in a string of fine performances over the past two seasons, but in a recent interview, he has stated that he enjoys living in England and isn’t thinking about a return to Spain.

However, the shot-stopper was also adamant that the club must achieve a top-four finish.

‘English football has changed me a great deal,’ said De Gea. ‘I’ve developed a lot physically, greatly improved my concentration and generally improved all aspects of my game.

‘I was very young when I came here, but four years on, things are very good overall. This league really suits me, as you learn a lot here.

‘Victor and I work very well together. I’m very happy to be with him. I’m learning so much from him, not just in goalkeeping terms given his immense experience, but also as a person.’

‘We have to qualify for the Champions League no matter what,’ he added.

‘We already missed out last season, and a team like Manchester United cannot do that two years in a row.’
