David Moyes dealt yet another transfer blow

Manchester United manager David Moyes must be getting sick and tired of the transfer window already.

If his Summer of dealings wasn’t bad enough, only signing Marouane Fellaini from his old-club Everton for nearly £30million, January doesn’t look like it will be too good either after reports have broken out in Germany that Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus has turned down the chance to move to England.

It is rumoured that Manchester City made an enquiry about the German star, but according to German newspapers, he has snubbed the opportunity of playing in the Premier League completely, which comes as a huge blow to Moyes, who was weighing up a potential bid for him in January.

With the interest in mind, Dortmund are desperate to get Reus to pen a new deal at the club, which will also get rid of the £29.7m release clause which is in his current contract.

A source close to the club has said: ‘He sees his future here for a few more seasons yet, and the expectation is that he will sign a new contract.’
