Manchester United manager David Moyes refused to comment on whether or not he will make a bid for Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale.

Reports broke early Monday morning that a new team had entered the race for the Welshman, but no name was revealed, although it is widely believed that it could be the English champions.

Bale’s future was all-but set for Real Madrid, but in the last minute, it looks like a new team could be in the race and it is suggested that Spurs are now weighing up their options.

After watching United draw 0-0 with Chelsea, Moyes refused to comment on the saga.

“I said at the start that Manchester United will always be interested in the best players and we’ll always be looking to try and improve the team.

“The owners have given me every opportunity to get who I want so we’ll continue to look for those players. It’s been tough in this window but we’re always looking at the best players.”
