Scot has admitted he’d take the job back in a heart-beat

David Moyes has admitted he would return to Manchester United if they offered him his job back.

The Scot left Everton in order to take over from Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford, but only lasted one season in the job after a disappointing campaign.

Moyes was sacked with four games to go as they missed out on the top-four, and was eventually replaced by Louis van Gaal, who is having troubles of his own now.

After his departure from United, Moyes ended up in Spain with La Liga side Real Sociedad, but once again, his stint there was cut short and he was sacked earlier this season.

Moyes Would take United Role

Speaking about his former-club and whether he’d return to United, Moyes said: ‘Would I take the job again? Of course I would. There are very few managers in the world who wouldn’t want to manage Manchester United.

‘After Sir Alex the job was going to be very difficult. It was going to take time to rebuild, it was a rebuilding job at Manchester United.

‘You’ve got to remember David Gill left, he was a big influence at Manchester United. I think even what Manchester United stand for, is they keep their managers, they’ve always supported their managers.

‘I hope they stick with Louis Van Gaal, he deserves more time, it’s still a work in progress for him, he’s made some signings, from my experience in Spain it will take time for players from abroad to settle in. So, I think they should stick with it.  They don’t want to become a club which continuously changes their manager.’
