According to club legend David Seaman, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger must remain at the club past this season.
The Gunners boss could be set for a Summer exit from the Emirates Stadium due to his contract expiring and due to an awful dip in form, his future is far from certain.
Earlier on in the season it looked like Wenger was ready to commit his future after he was enjoying a fine stint with the club, guiding them to top of the table for the majority of the season, but after a winless March, his future is now back in doubt.
However, one man that is certainly backing him is former-goalkeeper David Seaman, and he believes the Frenchman must stay on further.
“He is definitely still the right man for Arsenal without a shadow of a doubt,” Seaman, who is supporting Football Shirt Friday due to take place on Friday 11th April, told Sky Sports.
“People who have worked with him realise how good he is. There are not many people who have worked with him who have a bad word to say about him and that shows how good he is.”
“He brought in a whole new way of football to Arsenal and he will not just sit back on that,” said Seaman of Wenger. “He will be doing new stuff.
“You cannot go into the end of the season with five of your main players out injured and not expect it to have an influence on results. It is a tough time.”
