Dawson goes from zero to hero to destroy Spurs title hopes

Craig Dawson scored at both ends of the pitch last night, as he raised the hopes of spurs fans in the first half with an own goal, and promptly crushed them with a stunning equaliser.

This result now means that Leicester City are just one win from the Premier League title after West Brom held Tottenham 1-1 at White Hart Lane.

The foxes now lie 7 points clear at the top of the table, and can seal the title with a win at Old Trafford this weekend- a feat that has never been done in the club’s history.

Despite the fact that Spurs peppered the West Brom goal, they simply couldn’t find a way through. They relied on a Craig Dawson own goal to put them into the lead.

The english defender made amends in the second-half though as he capitalised on Lloris’ mistake to head home. West Brom, being a typical Pulis team, were extremely hard to break down and Spurs simply couldn’t do it.

Spurs could now be without Dele Alli for the run-in after he appeared to punch Claudio Yacob while Eric Dier also limped off. This has all but ended any hopes of the Premier league title for Spurs.
