De Bruyne could see Bundesliga return

Chelsea and Belgium playmaker Kevin De Bruyne could see a return to the Bundesliga after Wolfsburg have revealed they are interested in signing the youngster.

De Bruyne has been very much in the shadows at Stamford Bridge as places in the starting 11 have been hard to come by. With other playmakers such as Mata, Willian and Oscar all very much in good form, Kevin De bruyne has been left slightly detached from the squad. For this reason, it is likely that he will be weighing up his options and will be seeking a Chelsea exit come January.

It is also very difficult for De Bruyne to find regular playing time for the Belgian national team as there are many talented midfielders already avaliable. This means he will need to find a club where he is likely to play often in order to guarantee a spot in the national squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Wolfsburg have expressed their interest in the youngster but also add they would consider a loan move, only if it contains the option of making the move permanent in the summer.

Wolfsburg general manager Klaus Allofs told Allgemeinen Zeitung “If Chelsea want to sell him, we are ready to buy him or loan him with an option to buy.”

“We are not interested in a pure loan agreement.”
