David De Gea has handed Manchester United new wage demands.

The Spaniard is due for a new contract at Old Trafford.

Manchester United custodian has handed his revised wage demands at Manchester United before penning a new contract with his present one expiring this season. According to Daily Mail, as cited by Manchester Evening News, the shot-stopper has demanded at least a 50 per cent increase in his current salary, which makes it £300,000 including bonuses.

Though the Spaniard did not start the season in the best of ways, he has now started to come back to his true self under the tutelage of the interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The player has displayed his incredible shot-stopping capabilities in the last few matches for the Red Devils, including the last encounter against Tottenham Hotspur, in which he saved a staggering 11 shots to keep the one-goal lead intact for his side and led them to their fifth victory in a row in the Premier League.

It would really be a big loss for the Red Devils to lose out on their defensive ace if they can’t keep him satiated with his increased wage demands and it would be a wise decision for them to make negotiations and make him stay put at Old Trafford with a long term contract.
