Declan Rice is looking to play at his best in the future in the Premier League.
The player led his side to three consecutive wins as West Ham United looks to turn their fortunes around after a poor start to their domestic campaign.
West Ham United defender turned midfielder Declan Rice has said that last week was a very special one for him and the Hammers as they clinched their third victory in a row in the Premier League. The 3-2 victory over fellow London rivals Crystal Palace brought the Hammers into the top ten on the league table as Manuel Pellegrini’s men look determined to keep their winning form intact after a poor start to the season.
The 19-year-old has been a mainstay in the midfield for the new look West Ham side and has provided a world of stability to the side in the middle of the pitch. Ahead of their next trip to Craven Cottage to face Fulham, who are placed at the bottom of the league table, the Irishman said, “It was another special win on Saturday and another three points to top off a special week. Looking at the three games we had – Newcastle, Cardiff in midweek and Palace – we knew it was going to be tough, so to come out of it with nine points is magnificent.”
Speaking about his performance in back to back three games in a week, the player said, “I’m feeling fit and nine points from three games in a week means I’m feeling happy! We’ve got Fulham next and we’ll look forward to that. It’s a chance to get another three points and that’s what we going to try to do.”
