Chelsea to spend £100m on John Stones and Paul Pogba
Chelsea have bombed into this years transfer market by pulling off a spectacular smash and grab on Pedro, but Jose Mourinho doesn’t look finished yet. The latest reports suggest that the Portuguese aims to continue his spending spree by splashing £100million on Paul Pogba and John Stones.
The club stunned Manchester United this week by signing Pedro from under their noses in a £21.4m deal. Mourinho is now rumored to have tabled offers for both Pogba and Stones.
This will take Chelsea’s spending spree to £200m if he can pull these transfers out of the hat before the transfer window slams shut on September the 1st .
Pursuit for Stones and Pogba
These transfers will not be easy to pull off, it will take around £60m to coax Pogba away from Juventus, while Everton are holding out for £40m for centre-back Stones.
While many fans will believe the Stones deal is doable, they are unconvinced that Pogba will make a mega-money move to Stamford Birdge.
It is possible that any deal for Pogba could include Chelsea outcast Juan Cuadrado.
According to reports, he is already in talks with Juventus about a season-long loan with a view to a permanent move next summer.
Chelsea needs to wake up.
