Ernesto Valverde has said that Denis Suarez has a future at Barcelona.
The Spaniard has been tipped to leave the club in January.
Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has said that out-of-favour winger Denis Suarez has a future at the Catalan club. The player has fallen down the pecking order under the tutelage of Valverde and is tipped to leave the club in the January transfer market. The Spaniard has been closely linked with Premier League club Arsenal.
Speaking about the winger’s future at the club, the Barcelona manager said, “Denis can play for us in any match and he is always available.”
He added, “The reality is he was with our squad when we went to Getafe on Sunday and he is always competing to be in the squad, so yes he does have a future. This is a period of the season when fixtures come thick and fast and we will need to make rotations, I am aware of this and so are the players. Every game now we believe there will be a few changes, between league fixtures and those in the Copa all players available have a chance.”
Denis Suarez has prior experience of playing under the current Arsenal manager Unai Emery during his time at Sevilla, which has further given wind to the speculations of a reunion between the two at the north London club.
