Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has revealed that the club will look to keep hold of striker, Didier Drogba, after his playing days are over.

The veteran is nearing the end of his playing career, and with just a few months left on his deal at Stamford Bridge, it’s believed that he may retire at the end of the season.

However, according to some reports, Drogba will be offered a 12-month extension at the club, and Mourinho has admitted that the club will try and keep hold of the Ivorian even after his playing days are over.

“The important thing is he is here and will finish his career with Chelsea,” said Mourinho, whose team top the Premier League by six points.

Mourinho added: “It looks, for me, that he’s going to stay doing other things when he finishes his career.”
