Chelsea striker was reportedly unhappy in England

Chelsea forward Diego Costa has reassured fans of the club that he has no intentions of leaving after just one-year in England.

Reports emerged yesterday that the Spaniard failed to settle with life in England and was already eyeing a move back to Spain, with old-club Atletico Madrid keen on doing a deal.

Move Back to Spain Rubbished

It was also stated that Costa has been in regular contact with his former-employers about a potential move in the future, but today, the striker has rubbished those reports and has confirmed that he is happy in West London.

Speaking in Australia, where the club are currently touring, Costa admitted that it has been hard to adapt to a new country, but he’s insisted that he’s never once thought about a move back to Spain.

Costa Dismisses Reports

‘[It is] quite a simple answer,’ he said. ‘It’s always a bit more difficult in the first season for adaptation, but I have no reason to leave this place, I love it, the fans love me and I want to stay.’

Costa banged in 20 goals during his debut season at Stamford Bridge and played a key part in their title-winning campaign.
