Diego Simeone has told Chelsea he has no interest of becoming the new manager of Chelsea.

Reports say that the East London club have made initial contact with the Atlético Madrid boss, as they hunt for a man to replace Antonio Conte.

Conte looks set to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, with the club struggling domestically and Conte frequently calling out the board over failed transfer activities. The Italian is growing frustrated with their dealings and fell out with the club owner Roman Abrahamovic.

Simeone said that he enjoys watching the Premier League and stated that Manchester United,Liverpool,Chelsea and Arsenal are very big clubs across both England and Europe. But he has no plans to manage an English club yet.

The Times has claimed that the Argentine master tactician has rebuffed Chelsea’s advances though, saying he has no intention of coming to the English Premier League.

As per the reports his relatively poor English, and ambition to manage his beloved former club Inter Milan in Serie A, are the reasons for the rejection – in 2016 Simeone stated he is keen to coach former club Inter Milan in Italy someday.

The 47-year-old has two-and-a-half years left on his contract in the Spanish capital.
