West Ham star suffers serious ankle injury

West Ham United Football Club have confirmed that Dimitri Payet will miss three months due to a serious ankle injury.

The France international has been in stunning form for the Hammers since arriving at Upton Park back in the summer, but after being substituted on Saturday following a collision with Everton‘s James McCarthy, the club have now confirmed he won’t be available until the New Year.

Massive Blow

Payet had a scan on Sunday, and then had a meeting with a specialist yesterday before being told that he won’t be back for at least three months.

The news will come as a massive blow to Slaven Bilic and West Ham as the midfielder has been influential for them so far this season.

Payet has scored five for West Ham so far this season, assisting four as well.
