Diogo Jota believes Wolves can upset Manchester United in the FA Cup quarters when the two sides meet each other at Molineux on Saturday.
The newly promoted side has had a good season so far and is aiming for a Europa League spot. Wolves’ record against the top teams is really encouraging this season and they will try to fancy their chances once again.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side only managed one semifinal appearance so far in the last 38 years and a win over United would give them a glorious chance to win this coveted trophy for the second time after 1960.
United last won the FA Cup under the guidance of Louis van Gaal and given their current form Wolves shouldn’t pose much threat to them. Jota said, “We know we can go out there and win the game but we also know how hard it will be.
“We know we will have to be at our best to get to the semi-finals.
One of the reasons I came here was top play in big cup matches against teams like United.
“It’s an important stage now and we know it’s a big game but no different from the one we had last week.
“We’ve had success against the big teams.”
