Liverpool striker undergoes surgery

Liverpool will be without striker Divock Origi for the next month after he underwent surgery on his knee.

The youngster returned to Melwood yesterday and was spotted on crutches after he returned to his homeland over the weekend to have surgery on his injured knee.

Despite the surgery not being a major one, it has still done enough to see him sidelined for up to four weeks, meaning Jurgen Klopp now only has one fit striker at his disposal.

Striker Crisis

With Danny Ings, Daniel Sturridge and now Origi injured, Klopp only has summer-signing Christian Benteke at his disposal for striking options.

Origi hasn’t featured for the Reds since Boxing Day, when he suffered a hamstring injury against Leicester City.
