Manchester City Football Club have completed the signing of Kevin De Bruyne

The Belgium international has joined the Premier League side for a club record £55million, on a six-year deal.

The former Chelsea player, scored 10 goals in 34 games last season, helping Wolfsburg to win the German Cup and finish second in the Bundesliga.

De Bruyne left Chelsea back in January 2014 for a reported £16.7million after failing to make an impact, amassing just three Premier League appearances.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini expressed his delight at signing the Belgium international and thinks he will have a big impact at the club.

“He has all of the mental, physical, tactical and technical attributes required to fit straight in. Bringing in a player like this will only aid us” said Pellegrini.

De Bruyne admitted he is taking a big step in his career and is looking forward to challenging for titles with Manchester City.

“I think the most important thing is that at the end of the season we can be happy and maybe have some titles” said De Bruyne.

The 24-year-old will wear the no. 17 shirt and is the fourth major signing after Raheem Sterling, Fabian Delph and Nicolas Otamendi all moved to the Etihad club.

Manchester City are the only team with a 100% record in the Premier League, after a 2-0 victory against newly promoted Watford.
