The Blues have officially confirmed that 24-year-old Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Salah has once and for all left Stamford Bridge.
Salah made the move to Stamford Bridge after after an impressive run at Swiss club Basel, however he never made an impact at the west London club.
After only 13 Premier League appearances, he was sent out on loan to Fiorentina by Jose Mourinho.
Salah netted six goals in 16 Serie A games which inspired AS Roma into signing him on a season-long loan last season.
Now Roma have made that move solid.
The deal is said to be worth €15 million.
Chelsea have posted the following on their official website:
“Mohamed Salah has completed a permanent transfer to Italian club Roma.
Chelsea Football Club thanks Mohamed for his service and wishes him well for the future.
Salah scored 14 league goals and set up another eight in 34 Serie A fixtures last term.
Roma finished the Serie A season in third in 2015-16, so they qualified for this season’s Champions League.”
