Chelsea striker Ike Ugbo has signed for Barnsley on a year-long loan deal.
Ugbo is a graduate of Chelsea’s academy, having broken through the youth ranks and into their under-23 side last summer.
Last season at both youth and reserve level he scored 23 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions, including 11 strikes as Chelsea finished fifth in the top tier of the Premier League 2, the professional development league.
Ugbo has been on Chelsea transfer targets list and now he is one of Chelsea lastest transfers.
The deal for the 18-year-old was confirmed by the Championship side on their official website, as well as via their official Twitter account:
