Hudson-Odoi deletes cryptic social media post amidst Bayern links
Callum Hudson-Odoi deleted a cryptic social media post that appeared to address his future at Chelsea, with the youngster being repeatedly linked with a move to Bayern Munich.
Hudson-Odoi is believed to be keen on securing a move to Bayern in January and the youngster is reportedly frustrated with Chelsea turning down the bid. The 180year-old has been the subject of multiple bids from the Bayern, with the Bavarian giants matching Chelsea’s £40 million valuation of the player in their final bid.
As a desperate measure to keep the 18-year-old at the club, manager Maurizio Sarri has included Hudson-Odoi in the matchday squads for the games against Nottingham Forest, Tottenham and Newcastle in recent weeks.
However, the youngster has so far refused to put pen to paper on a new deal and he is reportedly prepared to run down the remaining 18 months left in his current contract if Chelsea continue to block his move to Bayern.
The teenager appeared to address those rumours on his Instagram page on Monday – before hastily deleting the post.
‘Don’t always believe what you hear,’ wrote Hudson-Odoi on his story.
Sarri has dropped a hint that he wants Hudson-Odoi to stay at the club, at least, until the end of the season by involving him in first-team action in recent weeks.
However, Chelsea face the possibility of losing one of their highly-rated academy products in the foreseeable future and the Blues will be forced to sell him next summer if it becomes apparent that he is not going to sign a new contract.
