Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that the club will not be forced into making any big money signings in the January transfer window.

Reds fans have endured a poor season so far, with their Champions League comeback ended in the group stage, and the club sitting eighteen points behind Chelsea in the Premier League.

But Rodgers said: ‘My first look is always within – we’ve seen how we’ve adapted the team and structure of team in order to make that work,’

‘There won’t be much activity in January – we’ve brought in a lot of players in the summer who beginning to adapt to life and a way of working at Liverpool.

‘January won’t be busy my job is to coach and manage the players who are here, and make the most of their talent.’

The Reds are through to the Capital One Cup, and are set to kick off their FA Cup campaign against AFC Wimbledon.
