Dortmund refuse to rule out Reus sale

Arsenal have been handed a transfer boost after German club Borussia Dortmund refused to rule out the safe of influential German midfielder and vice-captain Marco Reus.

Reus has been a target for a host of European clubs this summer, but it appears that the Gunners lead the race for the 25-year old.

Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke revealed in a statement:

“We will have to wait and see as to whether we can keep hold of Marco. All I can say is that I know him very well, and with him it is not about the money”.

Dortmund do have a buyout clause in place, but this is said to be dropping to ÂŁ19.8M next summer, leaving them open to sizeable offers.
