Dortmund to cash in on star; United interested

Manchester United have been put on red alert as Borussia Dortmund consider the sale of Marc Bartra.

Bartra completed a £7million move from Barcelona to Dortmund in the summer of 2016. The 27-year-old defender made 31 appearances for the Bundesliga giants in his opening campaign in Germany.

However, the centre-back has lost his place and struggled for game-time since Peter Stoger took over the reins at the Westfalenstadion at the beginning of December.

Real Betis boss Quique Setien is very interested in signing Bartra. The La Liga outfit have made contact over a temporary or permanent move for the Spain international.

And with Dortmund considering cashing in on Bartra, it’s claimed Juventus, Manchester City and United have all expressed an interest this month.

Bartra was also heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford ahead of the 2017-18 campaign. United instead completed the £30m signing of Victor Lindelof from Benfica at the beginning of June.
