Sean Dyche has said that he has big decisions to make after Tom Heaton’s brilliant return to first-team football.

The English custodian replaced his compatriot Joe Hart in the Burnley goal against West Ham United and kept a clean sheet.

Sean Dyche has admitted that he has big decisions to make as Tom Heaton made his return to first team football in style. The English custodian kept a clean sheet against West Ham United to inspire his side to a crucial win. He got the nod ahead of his compatriot Joe Hart and proved that Dyche’s decision was right.

Speaking to the media after the match, the English gaffer said, “Big decisions coming. You’ve got three England goalkeepers, all of high quality, and Tom showed that today.”

He added, “The thing I’m pleased with Tom is, he keeps his profession right. That’s hard when you’re out of the side, chomping, you want to be playing, he’s been so professional. He works hard, stays on top of himself and he gets his rewards because he comes in and not only gives a good general performance but makes a big, big save at the end.”

Dyche also said, “Why would there not be a good feeling towards Tom Heaton? I think so much of him, he knows that, but I can only pick 11 players, I can only pick one goalkeeper.”

The Clarets will take on Huddersfield Town in their next match in the Premier League.
