Bosnian international completed season long-loan move to Serie A side:
New AS Roma signing Edin Dzeko has revealed he has no regrets snubbing a move to Arsenal, in favour of completing a switch to the Italian side.
Having slipped down the pecking order of forwards at Manchester City recently, Dzeko made the move on a temporary basis, which could see him make a permanent move to Rome next summer.
Dzeko signed for City from Wolfsburg in the January of 2011 – and featured sporadically for the Sky Blues last season, scoring six times in a handful of starts.
DZEKO HAS NO REGRETS OVER HIS ITALIAN MOVE
And despite Arsenal’s interest, Dzeko revealed his delight upon his move to Rome.
“I have a good relationship with Miralem. Both he and [director of football Walter] Sabbatini told me good things about being here – the climate, the city and the fans.
“Roma have big plans for the future and I hope to help the club reach them.”
“They have grown a lot over the years. I hope to repeat the same path here.
“Working hard, I hope to achieve the things I did in Manchester with Roma.”
