Eden Hazard has praised Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne labeling him as the best player in the Premier League.
De Bruyne has been at the bulk of City’s incredible march to the top of the table in the early months of the season, providing two goals and six assists as Pep Guardiola’s have built an eight point lead after 11 games.
The City playmaker put Chelsea to the sword in September but could have been on the other side had the Blues not opted to sell him to Wolfsburg for £18million in 2014.
It is a decision doubtless regretted by many at Stamford Bridge, including Hazard, who is convinced De Bruyne is crucial to City’s magnificent brand of football.
“Kevin is definitely the best player in the Premier League,” said Hazard.
“He plays with a good team but that’s also thanks to him that they play so well.
“He has been criticised when he has played for Belgium, but I do not always think that’s fair. He always carries out everything and does his best.
“He’s an excellent player for our team.”
