Eden Hazard tells team-mate to leave Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard has advised his team-mate and fellow-Belgium international Kevin De Bruyne to leave Stamford Bridge so that he can play first-team football.

The 22-year-old has been Belgium’s top-goalscorer during their qualification for Brazil, but his team-mate is worried that the lack of first-team action may keep him out of the side come next Summer when they go to Brazil for the World Cup.

So far this season, De Bruyne has only played four times for The Blues and Hazard believes it would be best for him to move on.

“For sure, playing at a World Cup without having been in action for a year, I think that’s very difficult,” said Hazard.

“I think for him that leaving and playing, that would be good.

“If we want to get the best out of Kevin, I think that it’s best if he leaves.”

The Chelsea midfielder is not the only Belgium worried about the lack of first-team football as Tottenham Hotspur’s Moussa Dembele could seek a move away from White Hart Lane as well so that he can earn his spot on the plane for Brazil.
