Eden Hazard will remain a Chelsea player and will sign a contract extension, according to Jose Mourinho.
The Blues ace still has three years left on his current deal, but with speculation that Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are interested, Chelsea want to secure the Belgium’s long-term future and make him sign a new deal.
So far, the 23-year-old has ignored all rumours regarding his future, and Mourinho is confident that he will remain at Stamford Bridge for the forseeable future.
“You look at the age of the players… [Didier]Drogba and John [Terry] are over 30,” the Chelsea boss said.
“After that, everyone is below 30. Ivanovic is at that limit. All the other guys are very young.
“If they’re happy to be here, like Oscar is showing with a new contract, like Eden is showing: he will sign a new contract sooner or later.
“They can basically be the Chelsea team for the next few years.”
