Paris Saint Germain have this week been given a boost after striker Edinson Cavani hinted that he’s happy to stay in the French capital for the foreseeable future.

The striker has been constantly linked with a move to the Premier League after being frustrated about being played out wide by manager Laurent Blanc. Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal had all previously been linked with the former Napoli man.

But Cavani, who has had the chance to play centrally for PSG over recent weeks, claims he doesn’t intend to leave the club any time soon.

”It’s not a matter of being better in the middle of the attack. On the flanks it is more difficult for me.” Cavani told Telefoot.

”But the most important thing is the team, you have to help sometimes. It is normal for me to complain, as it was my position these last years.

”But a 4-4-2 with Zlatan? That’s how I imagined to play when I first came to the club, but things change a lot.

”Was I happier at Napoli? These are journalist comments. Everybody has an opinion, I’m happy at Paris. You don’t know what can happen in football, but my mind is set on PSG.”
