Reports in France suggest that PSG forward Edinson Cavini would prefer a move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

The Uruguay international has seen his future come under frequent speculation, with Cavani failing to show up to a mid-winter training camp with the Ligue 1 title holders.

Cavani, aged 27, has been a target of several sides, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool, as well as in continental Europe, with Real Madrid also keen.

But according to media reports in France, Cavani will not be sold in January, ahead of a summer move, with Arsenal the destination of choice by the player.

Laurent Blanc, the Parisian outfit’s manager, stated yesterday that he has not received a formal bid for Cavani.

He told beIN Sports: “It’s not impossible that one of our players will leave.

“Thiago Motta, Lavezzi and Cavani? None of then has asked me to leave, and, moreover, it would be difficult for me to let them go.

“We have no offers from other clubs.”
