Mohamed Elneny has posted a message which is widely expected to be his “goodbye” to the Arsenal fans.

The player has been tipped to leave the club having featured only once this season under Unai Emery in the Premier League.

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has posted an “emotional” message which is being considered widely as his goodbye to the club and the fans. The player has fallen deep down the pecking order under the current Arsenal manager Unai Emery, who has used him only once in the Premier League this season and it is expected that the player would leave the club this season to ply his trade elsewhere.

On the third anniversary of his arrival at the club, the Egyptian international posted two tweets, which have had the Arsenal fans talking. He wrote, “The 14th of Jan is a day that will always be engraved in my heart. Three years ago, on this same day, I joined the Arsenal family.”

He also tweeted, “I call it family, because it is how it’s like to be here at Arsenal. I’m grateful for every single moment during those three years, the tough moments and the many happy ones. I’m grateful for the one of a kind fans, for the coaches, for the colleagues who became real brothers, for everyone.. I’m grateful for the past and I’m very much looking forward to the future.”
