Arsenal boss Unai Emery has said that Mesut Ozil should live with the criticism he receives regarding his international retirement. Ever since Ozil announced his retirement from the Germany national team, he has been receiving plenty of criticism.
Emery said, “We are here to help him. We are his family and [the club] is his home. In our careers, as coaches and players, we are going to receive criticism. When we do well they are also going to speak about us well. It’s a habit for us to have critics.
But we are professional. We need to live with this. Here [at Arsenal] we need and we want to help him.”
Ozil will hope to put up a strong show for Arsenal when they take on West Ham tomorrow. Both sides will be looking to get their first points of the Premier League.
