Emmanuel Adebayor: “I have GOLDEN genes!”

Emmanuel Adebayor believes he can still cut it in the Premier League because he has been “blessed with golden genes”.

Remember Adebayor? Turns out he’s very special.

32-year old Adebayor, who has recently crashed out of the African Cup of Nations with his Togo side, has been without a club since being let go by Crystal Palace at the end of last season.

However, the former Arsenal, Tottenham, and Man City forward believes he could still cut it in England’s top flight – why you ask?

Because he has “golden genes” – That’s right, GOLDEN GENES.

“I am confident that I can still play at that level,” he told FIFA’s official website. “I am blessed with golden genes. Physically, I would certainly be able to handle the pressure.

“I am the one who makes jokes when it is necessary, but I can also put my foot down if serious work is required.

“My father taught me to always say what I think. At times, that can lead to problems – but I always sleep well.”

After his sides 3-1 defeat to DR Congo, Adebayor claimed he would give a call to his manager (who I can only assume has golden managerial genes.) knew of any clubs showing an interest in the striker.

“Now we are out I am just going home and I’ll call my manager and see if there are some clubs that are interested in me,”

“Let’s take it step by step and see how it goes. You know how much I love the Premier League even though I am not the most loved player in England. I have done it for the last 10 years in the Premier League.”

During his time with Crystal Palace, Adebayor managed to net just once in his six month stint.

His best spell in the Premier League came with Arsenal, where he bagged almost 50 goals between 2006-2009.

Hopefully someone in the Premier League will sign him, especially now we know he has golden genes.
