Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has revealed that that England are better now than what they were back in 2010.
It was back in the South Africa World Cup when Fabio Capello’s men were thrashed 4-1 by Germany and knocked out of the World Cup in disappointing fashion.
However, now under Roy Hodgson’s guidance, Gerrard believes England are a much better squad now than what they were three years ago.
Gerrard said: “I’d say we are better.
“If we were to meet Germany tomorrow in a World Cup situation I don’t think we’d leave the pitch having lost 4-1.”
Gerrard and co. will face The Germans later on tonight at Wembley in a ‘friendly’ match.
