Three newcomers in the squad for England’s upcoming international fixtures:

England manager Roy Hodgson has named the uncapped trio of Charlie Austin, Jamie Vardy and Tom Heaton in his squad for the double-header of fixtures.

The Three Lions travel to Dublin to face the Republic of Ireland on 7th June, before resuming their 2016 European Championship qualification campaign away in Slovenia, a week later.

And Hodgson has decided to call up strikers Austin and Vardy, and Burnley goalkeeper Heaton to his side, as he prepares for the two games next month.

Austin, who has found the net 17 times for Queens Park Rangers this season, will join fellow newcomer Vardy, who has risen up the leagues with Fleetwood Town and Halifax Town, to help Leicester City to survival.

Burnley keeper Heaton is to battle with Robert Green, and number one keeper Joe Hart for a place in Hodgson’s starting eleven.
