The North London side fear their best player could a join list of senior stars wanting to quit next summer along.

Tottenham fear Harry Kane will seek to exit this club this summer after running out of patience at the club.

Harry Kane, who turns 27 next summer, has scored 171 goals in 262 appearances for Spurs but is yet to win silverware in his career. The attacker has attracted interest from Manchester United, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the past and would not be short of suitors should he opt to leave the club.

Tottenham’s difficult start to the season reached its lowest point on Tuesday when they were trounced 7-2 by Bayern Munich at home. after also squandering a two-goal lead to draw their opening Champions League match at Olympiakos. Kane was said to be furious afterwards and The Times claim he led an inquest with captain Hugo Lloris in the dressing room afterwards.

Spurs have been beaten by Leicester and Newcastle already in the Premier League as well as a humiliating exit to League Two Colchester in the Carabao Cup. Kane’s future could also come into sharper focus if Mauricio Pochettino leaves the club with the Argentine.

Kane’s contract runs until 2024 but with Mauricio Pochettino’s future looking uncertain the club fear the striker may hand in a transfer request next summer. Daniel Levy, Spurs’ chairman, will be desperate to keep the striker and the length of his contract means the club hold all the cards.

Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen are all into the final 12 months of their deals while Danny Rose was told he could leave the club last summer. It’s likely, should Pochettino stay, that the next 18 months will be a time of rebuilding at the club and Kane must decide whether he can afford to wait as he enters his peak years.
