Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has made it clear that despite the signing of Brazilian winger Malcom, Ousmane Dembele remains to be an integral entity in their setup.
Dembele came to Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund last summer for a fee of £135.5 million. He came to the club as Neymar’s replacement when the Brazilian left for PSG. However, the Frenchman had a lackluster season at Camp Nou as he played just 17 league games for the Blaugrana and has been linked to a move away from the club.
However, Barcelona’s boss said that Dembele could get a good chance to impress this season . He said, “Let’s hope it’s his season. He is an extraordinary player. The past year has been complicated because of the injuries, but even so he has brought us a lot .
The important thing is that there is competition within the team. There are a lot of matches and we can not handle them with only eleven players.”
