Ethan Ampadu has signed a new contract to extend his stay at Chelsea. The 18 year old has put pen to paper on a new five year contract which will keep him at the club until 2023.
The exciting youngster was a key part in Chelsea’s preseason but is yet to feature this season under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri. There had been a number of offers to take the player on loan but Sarri insisted to have the player at his disposal and with Europa League coming up we could see the player making his first appearance of the season.
The youngster expressed his happiness on signing the new deal. “I’m really proud and happy. I’m looking forward to the next five years and all I have got to do now is continue to work hard, and hopefully good things will happen.”
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia showered praises on the player.”Ethan has shown great potential and unbelievable maturity since arriving at Chelsea a year ago. In this short time he convinced a lot of people with his exceptional quality and mentality and we look forward to watching him develop into a key player for the club over the coming years.”
