Former Manchester United captain and extreme player critic Roy Keane has expressed his concerns about Harry Maguire.

Although some of the concerns he raised about Maguire is true and worrying, one must ask if it is too early to question Maguire.

The player has had a phenomenal rise in his career. He jumped from Hull City in division one to Leicester City and then through good performances in the FIFA World Cup, he has now joined Manchester United. Clearly he is on the right path and on his way up. However, that did not stop Keane from downing the player.

Asked what he thought about Maguire’s start to life at United, Keane told ITV: ‘I think he’s done OK. ‘We were talking about how good he is on the ball, but defensively I still think he’s… I still have one or two question marks over him. ‘I always worry about his pace on the turn.

‘I remember the first goal against Crystal Palace where he’s not doing the basics, covering round his other centre-half. ‘Listen, he’s 26 years of age now, you’re worried if you’re pointing these things out to him.’
