But there might be a slight problem…
Chelsea are preparing to hijack Arsenal’s deal for AS Roma centre-back Kostas Manolas.
The Serie A side are reluctant to sell the Greece international, who has been a long-term target for the Gunners.
However, new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is desperate for a centre-half and is willing to submit an offer for Manolas.
BUT, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, Roma will not accept any bids for the 24-year old due to a clause in his contract.
If Manolas leaves the Stadio Olimpico, his former club Olympiakos will receive 50 per cent of the transfer fee.
Should the Blues fail with their attempts for Manolas, then Conte will turn his attention to Napoli central defender Kaildou Koulibaly.
