Lazio planning move for Chelsea flop

Italian side Lazio are considering a move for Chelsea flop Papy Djilobodji in the New Year, according to reports.

Djilobodji has seen hardly any action since arriving at Stamford Bridge on transfer deadline day for £3m from Nantes.

He has only made one appearance in the blue shirt, in the Capital One Cup success at Walsall.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Lazio may try to bring the player to Rome on loan in the New Year.

The Italian club currently sitting eleven points off the lead held by Inter Milan, and could be looking for reinforcements to help their Champions League qualification hopes.

Djilobodji, a 26-year-old centre back also adept in defensive midfield, may seek a move to reinvigorate his career, and get e appearances under his belt.
