Chelsea star Victor Moses and Isaac Success are both facing suspension from next week’s Premier League clashes
The pair will face the FA for reportedly refusing international call-ups with Nigeria.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) could ban Victor Moses and Isaac Success, after both players pulled out of Sunday’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Zambia in Ndola.
According to reports from Complete Sports, officials feel that Moses and Success didn’t make genuine claims about their injuries and have now decided to investigate the matter.
If the claims are found to be untrue, the NFF will discipline them and reports indicate that it will affect them being selected for the National team in the future, as it stands the The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) believe there were no signs of injury when Moses and Success played for their Premier League clubs, Chelsea and Watford respectively, last weekend.
An NFF source told Completesportsnigeria.com:
“We know the two players had good games and there was no sign of injury on the duo during or after the game. “It came as a surprise to hear later that Moses was injured and that he would not be available for the game and Success finished his team’s game before claiming injury.
“Honestly, they won’t go unpunished if our investigation turns out as we are suspecting. In fact, we are considering writing a protest to FIFA if we find out that they connived with their respective clubs to feign injuries and stay away from the matches.”
The Super Eagles travel to Russia 2018 World Cup begins with a Group B qualifying clash against Zambia on Sunday, October 9, in Ndola.
